Plans & Billing
View and manage your subscription, payment methods, and invoices.
Your Current Plan
View your current plan in Settings → Billing. You'll see:
- Plan name and price
- Current usage vs. limits
- Next billing date
- Payment method on file

Upgrading Your Plan
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Select your desired plan (Pro or Business)
- Choose billing cycle (monthly or annual — save 20% with annual)
- Enter payment information
- Click Confirm Upgrade
Immediate effect: New features become available instantly. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
Downgrading Your Plan
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower tier plan
- Review the changes and confirm
Before Downgrading
If your current usage exceeds the limits of the lower plan, you'll need to reduce usage first:
- Delete data sources if over limit
- Archive or delete reports
- Remove dashboards
- Remove team members
Note: Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll retain access to premium features until then.
Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
Credit/Debit Cards
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
Digital Wallets
Apple Pay, Google Pay
Managing Payment Methods
- Add new card: Settings → Billing → Add Payment Method
- Set default: Click "Make Default" on any saved card
- Remove card: Click "Remove" (must have at least one method on paid plans)
Invoices & Receipts
Access your billing history and download invoices:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Invoices
- View list of all past payments
- Click on any row to view details
- Click Download PDF to save the invoice
Invoices include your company name, address (if provided), and tax information. Update billing details in Settings → Billing → Billing Information.
Cancelling Your Subscription
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Select a reason (optional, helps us improve)
- Confirm cancellation
What Happens When You Cancel?
- You'll retain access until the end of your billing period
- After expiration, your account reverts to the Free plan
- Data over Free plan limits becomes read-only (no new uploads/reports)
- Premium features (AI, sharing, etc.) become unavailable
- Your data is NOT deleted — you can re-upgrade anytime
Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. If you're not satisfied, contact support@brightsea.ca within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
After 14 days, refunds are prorated based on unused time in your billing period.
