Quick Start

What you'll need

• A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
• A data file (CSV, Excel, or JSON) or sample data to paste
• An email address for account creation (optional for Try It mode)

You have two options to get started:

Once you're in the workspace, click New Data Source and choose one of these options:

• Upload File — Drag and drop a CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or JSON file
• Paste from Clipboard — Copy data from a spreadsheet and paste directly
• Sample Data — Use our sample datasets to explore features

After uploading, DATIRA will show you a preview of your data. You can use theData Cleaning tools to fix issues:

• Fix inconsistent date formats
• Split or merge columns
• Remove duplicates
• Standardize text values
• And 14+ more transformations

Click New Report and select your data source. You'll see the pivot table builder:

1. Drag fields to Rows — These become your row labels (e.g., "Country", "Product")
2. Drag fields to Columns — These become your column headers (e.g., "Year", "Quarter")
3. Drag fields to Values — These are the numbers you want to analyze (e.g., "Sales", "Quantity")
4. Add Filters — Narrow down your data by specific values

Your report updates in real-time as you drag fields. See Pivot Tables Guide for advanced features.

Click the Chart button to add a visualization to your report. DATIRA supports 20+ chart types including:

Click Save to store your report. Then share it with others:

• Download .wpt file (Free) — Export and share offline
• Public Link (Pro) — Generate a shareable URL
• Email Invitation (Business) — Send directly to specific users
